Height: 5 feet’|| 5 inches
Personality:
He is...not that graceful.
Well, that is just the general thing about Orchid. When it comes to other things such as how he interacts, it is usually with some uncertainty. This is especially true when it comes to his Pokemon. Orchid usually prizes himself of being a scholar rather than a trainer, making it so that he approaches battles and matters in the Pokemon world that is beyond simple curiosity to be something he is not confident in. Knowing the complex relationships between people and Pokemon are something beyond him...but that does not mean he is trying to learn. In truth, Orchid is starting to discover that Pokemon are more than just simply an extension of nature.
Until then, there are the usual traits about relationships as Orchid. He is not exactly “warm and fuzzy” when it comes to others. He actually prides himself on being studious and a researcher due to him studying with what he knows with his family. He can come off as spoiled, as expected, when it comes to his wisdom and what he knows. Thus, he can be repulsing when it comes to what he knows about Pokemon, especially when he knows little to nothing about how to apply what he knows.
This does not mean Orchid does not treasure relationships. He is actually quite lonely given his history with his family as well. Thus, he does not particularly know how to talk to anyone, and is too proud to admit he does not. Consistently, he may even push others away by proudly saying he does not need help, and doing so in an unconvincing manner. However, this betrays his style of how he raises his Pokemon as he tries to work formulas and incorporate each and every one of them. Orchid desires harmony and balance, but he does not know how to convey it beyond book sense.
With a hate for being vulnerable, Orchid often builds situations that prevents it. He will plan thoroughly and with confidently in order to try to control things. This most likely is the result of his history of being vulnerable with his family only to have that situation betray him. To that end, he often tries to be manipulate his surroundings so he will have the advantage; another trait that shows in his style of battle. Though, try as he might, things unravel as usual. When things become this way, a vulnerable and more unkempt side of Orchid shows.
Nonetheless, Orchid is not without his sensitive moments. When drawn from him, especially in special circumstances where the fears get to him, he can become very open about himself. Mostly, this is in the face of his past catching up to him or seeing something that reminds him of his old self. This can range from agitation of someone being naive or being saddened when someone actually has the ability to remind him of a bit of whom he was (which is rare since he has migrated from place to place to escape that). Even if vulnerable in one point, do not look for it to be consistent. His pride keeps him from showing that face a lot.
One can define Orchid is mischievous in some lights. When bragging on himself or showing his ability, he proudly beats his chest (not literally). This will constantly show a side of him making smug (but cutesy) faces. He will even sing in melodic tones when he thinks he has the advantage. This shows him to be very cocky when it comes to him showing his strengths. The only thing that deters this is urgent situations where he becomes really precise; showing he has ability, but lacks the focus and discipline until crunch time comes and there is more at stake than simply saving face.
History:
He hails from the Rainbow City…
A gorgeous place, Celadon City is noted for its large population and its grandeur. With its reaching skyscrapers and penthouses, it could be said Kings and Queens lord over the city. Pioneers in fashion trends, the fine arts, and even in original scripts and movie careers could be said to live in this city. One family in particular, one that have been leading Kanto’s world in medicines, also lives in this city. That being, the Hikari family is famous for their formulas and advancements in medicinal research.
The family was led by a woman who prided her strength on being her strong suit. She had been a “natural born heroine,” as she would call herself and became one of the faces of Celadon City. Sayuri Hikari, a woman who grew up with a drive for botany and applications, had prized Grass Pokemon as the source of many possible advancements in research. In her travels, she had gathered samples as far as Floaroma Town, extended divisions of research, and produced mass medicines from many exotic places in order to build imports and exports of medicines in today’s Pokemon World.
Now, all she needed was an heir…
Sayuri had this as one of her reasons for starting a family. Hideki Kumori was a man she felt fit for this purpose. Although he was a bright man with dreams and vision that guided his hand as an investor and an accountant, Sayuri saw something more in him: a malleable pawn. Hideki was someone who was more analytical than assertive. He was perfect for her, in her own twisted way. It was then that Sayuri would marry, undermine taking a name (convincing that the “Hikari” name was best suited for the world and business), and would bare his children to an extent she would tolerate.
...and so another “prince” of the Rainbow City would be born.
Xenneth was a bright child who had enjoyed what life would bring him. As an heir, his mother would protect himself and his younger sister like “jewels,” but would also try her hardest to enrich them. She often compared their growth as something akin to nourishing a plant to grow to its fullest potential. It was a reference that young Xenneth knows until this day. Himself and his sister would often attend places with their mother that were usually more refined even during their younger years. The most memorable were the visits to Ecruteak City where their mother favored. Their experience as youth, himself and his sister, were what inspired him to be a Pokemon Trainer while also dawning kimonos. His time with his mother was in-between, so he cherished their visits annually to this historical city.
...so naive...he knew not why her real reason for visiting the city.
Nonetheless, Xenneth and his little sister still had small glimpses of their mother who was more busy with work than with them. Their father and maids were the caretakers who followed a regiment that was strict. Schooling was focused around Pokemon Training courses, concentrations of chemistry, as well as advanced courses of math and sciences. Interactions were brief and enforced regularly in such environments; making friendships far in between being nothing beyond exchanges about course work and arts that would teach him how to be “refined.”
A horrid habit that his father did not approve of...
What rationale came in-between were sympathy from their sitters that they needed to be children. Regardless of Sayuri’s precise planning and track for their lives to be, the children still experienced moments of joy that deviated from an obtuse path. The maids and butlers would often allow them to do something that was beyond the usual, and manipulate it to be “their secret,” while their father would often find ways to spend time with them outside of the home and insist that their mother would approve of them taking a break.
She did not. Though, in his mind, he was saving his children from their mother’s strictness.
Time had went on and the children would experience brief changes within their lives. When in their early teens, there would be brief lapses where their father would change the staff in the manor on their mother’s orders. The home would have visits from members from their mother’s company who would stay numerous periods of time to discuss things while their father was away. Oblivious as he was, Xenneth knew nothing of these visitors or his mother’s frequency of being home as of late. But a jealousy had brewed in him, desiring his mother to notice him just as she had the company and the staff she seemed so proud of.
Xenneth would throw himself into the cusp of interactions with his mother’s staff when visiting the company, Hikari Pharmaceuticals. His visits became so frequent, he had caught the attention of a certain staff member, a young woman who was a recent intern. Desiring to be of some help, he would ask of her if he could be of assistance, something that could not be asked of a young fourteen year old. Hesitant as this woman seemed, she allowed it nonetheless giving Xenneth tasks that seemed to be simple at first that was carrying paperwork...and then speaking to certain members of the company for interviews...and then...taking files to people outside the company?
Xenneth did not know better. After all, he just wanted to be noticed by his mother and be of some help. He was not aware of his mother’s company and the shady figures, the intern he was helping that had contempt for him, or even that he was amidst a brewing storm that was developing over that one year.
It was only when his house became chaotic one day that he was aware that something was wrong with his mother’s company. His father’s arrest by the authorities before his very eyes had become startling, his mother’s arrest following, and then himself placed at the mercy of the authorities. Xenneth had not noticed he had been feeding information about his mother’s company to authorities that were investigating them. His mother’s company was not just dealing medicine, but synthesizing potent chemicals that affected Pokemon in an unhealthy manner. There was also the profits that were being funneled into an organization that privatized trainers to test these manipulated Pokemon and work with the company.
Thus, Xenneth knew what his mother’s company had become: organized crime.
What was even more surprising was his mother’s savagery. Not only had she escape prosecution, but had sacrificed her own husband to do so. Within a month, Xenneth’s mother had taken to a podium to pass the blame and announce that she would make the company “better.” The eldest of the two children, Xenneth had protected his younger sister from the truth. He would confront his mother for answers, and seeing a more cynical side of her. It was probably the first time he had ever been genuinely terrified of her gaze, her attitude, and with a smile she would dismiss his feelings about what he felt about the family.
It was then Xenneth knew what his luxurious family life was: just business.
From that day on, Sayuri was open about her dealings with Xenneth while insisting that he should learn the way of the “business.” Her focus was not only on developing new breakthrough drugs, but distributing to outlets that desired them for profit and power. Even more sinister than creating the debilitating drugs, but also being foremost authority in creating cures for them as Sayuri would channel these two enterprises through multiple businesses while evading anymore leaks. She would bring Xenneth along, insisting that she would make him the perfect heir and even forgive his “intrusion” into the business.
But the way she said it...it was nothing short of a degree as cold.
Xenneth knew he had to escape! However, with his mother’s reach, Xenenth had felt a fear like no other when he was planning his escape! He spent a great deal of his energy finding areas of the world where his mother had little influence. He evaded areas where the company did business. Even places such as Alola had a small enterprise in confectioneries that she used just to fatten her pockets. Thus, he was left with a region that was still developing and far: Midori.
Money was not an issue and his plans were less than perfect. Fear drove him to abandon his life and even his name as he had taken the first inconspicuous ship that would raft him over waters to reach to mysterious region. With what little money and some supplies on hand, he would request the shipment of a Pokemon Starter Kit from a distant region. He had to use a different name, create a photo identification that was not like his own, and come up with a story to pick up the Pokemon from the regions lab.
Thus, he would start to type with affirmation in his key strokes: “My name is Orchidaceae and I want to be a Pokemon Trainer!”
With his destination, he only has one goal in mind: run away! Stay away from his mother and do not return.::Starter Pokemon::Rowlet

[/font][li]Orchidaceae is based on the flower and he is well aware of this! It is one of his favorites and has ties to watching the Kimono Girls from Ecruteak City. He is fond of the girl who was raising an Espeon! He actually hopes Eevee will evolve into one.[/li]
[li]Orchid’s family specializes in Grass-Pokemon Thus, he identifies with them and any Pokemon that support them with their abilities. He actually knows little to nothing about Fairies doing to them being rare in Kanto (besides Clefairy and Jigglypuff) and so he is still learning about their applications and mistakes some of them for actual Grass-Pokemon.[/li]
[li]Orchid is terrible with the opposite sex, and the heart of this is his mother issues. Nothing makes him more vulnerable more faster. Especially strong women who are a prompt reminder of her.[/li]
[li]Orchid is good with survival instincts: cooking, foraging, and using the environment to his advantage are things he is good with due to him camping with his father. His comfort with being outside is a constant reminder of his incarceration.[/li]
[li]Orchid loves sweets! Usually he has a thing for pastries and creamy goods. He is very fond of Pastries and Ice Cream at the same time. [/li]
[li]Orchid fears the Pokemon species, Oricorio and Tsareena. As Tsareena is Pokemon that acts as his mother’s Headliner for battles, Oricorio acts as a symbol for his mother’s business. He considers both of the Pokemon to be a bad omen and is usually weary of people or his surroundings when he sees them. He can become extremely paranoid of a person thinking they are associated with his mother.[/li][/ul]
