He's Trying [Vincent's Training]

vince was here for one reason and one reason only - the incessant nagging of his chimchar to come here. the place reeked of sweat and grime and vince couldn't help but curl his nose in disgust as he entered the building and looked around. numerous trainers actively were training at the stations in less then fabulous clothing and vince could almost feel himself ready to gag at the sight of them. 'how can someone leave the house in THAT?' was the only thoughts the flooded his mind as he looked around.

he had spent the better part of his morning actively getting himself into a cute matching ensemble that was both sporty and cool so why hadn't anyone else made the effort? "Why are we even here ignis? this place is digusting..." vince whined after his fire type who was excitedly running back and forth between training bags and weights scattered around an open area.

ignis would turn and flip his trainer off, a move he had recently learned by one of the rowdier regulars at the bar his trainer worked in. "how dare you!" cried vince in shock, "you know you aren't allowed to do tha--hey, wait, get down!!"

as he was scolding his pokemon the monkey-like pokemon had scampered up some monkey bars and was using his hands and tails to cross them with quick movement. before vince had gotten close enough to pull his pokemon free ignis had reached the end and had done a little flip off it, landing on his feet to smile smugly up at his trainer.

vince crossed his arms over his chest but couldn't help the smile that curled at the corners of his lip. "alright that was pretty cool... i bet you couldn't do it again though," he challenged playfully.

of course ignis was out to prove his trainer wrong. with amazing speed and grace vince had never seen in his pokemon before, the chimchar was hurling himself back and forth across the monkey bars, doing flips and catching himself with his tail on swings.

"bravo ignis, bravo!" vince cheered him on, clapping his hands having forgotten the god awful environment he had been dragged out to for the time being.

this time around vince had come here with an actual purpose, to train up his fired up pokemon. over the past week they had battled and won and even managed to get a new team member! the wishy-washy man was experiencing something he had never felt before. pride in himself? pride in his pokemon? the realization he might not just be an aging party boy and may make his mark on the world after all?

well, he wasn't here to dissect his new feelings he was here to train ignis who had basically ran his entire way to the training dojo, despite vince's numerous calls to slow down.

now that they had arrived and vince has scooped up his chimchar to prevent him from rushing head first in the weights he would look around at the numerous training dummies that dotted the walls. "how about we practice on one of those? your fury swipes could use some more work, no?" vince suggested gently, trying to pull his pokemon's attention away from the machoke lifting a massive dumbbell in one arm.

<"Chim!"> ignis replied happily, leaping from vince's arms and rushing towards an empty training dummy. without waiting he began to rear back and practice his fury swipes so quickly his arms were a blur.

"roll to the left and attack!" vince would cry out, hoping to teach his pokemon so more effective fighting tactics then rushing forward and attacking whatever was in front of them.

ignis would roll to the left, stumbling slightly before continuing his attack on the training dummy. "good work ignis, keep rolling to the left and attacking!" vince cheered on as his pokemon would rotate around the dummy, eventually not stumbling each time he moved.
